Did you know that Mike has an online record store? He's been collecting records, and musical knowledge, for 30 years. It's his side business, along with his regular day job and helping at the shop on Saturdays! Music and vinyl are his passion the way herbs, teas, (and Wunder Budder) are mine.
We've been wanting to work on something together for years, and we're excited to share a (mostly) monthly event - Turntable Tea Parties!
Turntable Tea Party is a listening party that features a specific record, and we'll share a special release tea that goes along with the album we feature. Join us in celebrating music, tea, and community. Come for the whole event or come whenever you can. Meet new friends or spend time with old ones.
Mike will be setting up a mini pop-up record shop with copies of the record we're playing each month, plus more by the same artist, and some related "you may also like" type albums for sale.
Can't make it in person? Each month you'll find a listing here on our website for the record we played that month and a 1oz bag of special release tea to go along with it, so you can have your own personal listening party at home.
Friday Jan. 26th is our second Turntable Tea Party! It goes from around 6pm until around 8pm, with this month's record going on the turntable around 6:30pm. This month we're celebrating the 12th anniversary of Lane Del Rey's album "Born to Die".
I'm not personally that familiar with Lana Del Rey, but she has moved into Mike's Top 5 Favorites of All Time list, so I'm excited to have this be our feature this month.
Reservations aren't required, and you can drop in anytime, but if you know for sure that you're coming, let us know. I hope to see you there!
Xo,
Lisa
