Turntable Tea Party is collab event between us and Reverberation Records Records (that's Mike!)
At the Turntable Tea Party, we feature a specific record or records, and we share a special release tea that goes along with the album we feature. We hang out and listen to the album together, drink tea, and talk. Mike usually shares a bunch of interesting facts about whatever band we're listening to!
Join us in celebrating music, stories, tea, and community. Come for the whole event or come whenever you can. Meet new friends or spend time with old ones!
Mike will be setting up a mini pop-up record shop with copies of the record we're playing each month, plus more by the same artist, and a curated collection of "you may also like" type albums for sale. It changes every month, so even if you can't stay for the whole album, come by and see what he picked for you this month.
This is also a great time to pick up any online orders you placed with Mike, and save on shipping!
Can't make it in person? Each month you'll find a listing here on our website for the record we played that month and a 1oz bag of special release tea to go along with it, so you can have your own personal listening party at home.
Friday April 4th is Tom Waits! Featuring the albums: Closing Time and Mule Variations
I introduced Mike to Tom Waits during one of the first times we hung out, over 20 years ago! We're happy to share these albums with you, as Tom Wait's music has floated around our lives for decades.
It goes from around 6pm until around 8pm. Reservations aren't required, and you can drop in anytime, but if you know for sure that you're coming, let us know so we can save you a seat.
Xo,
Lisa
